Grand Rounds are identified as an important aspect of medical education not only in the presentation of clinical problems, but in the new information, opportunity for problem solving, and critical reasoning skills often shared. Additionally, there is an identified need in improving the time it takes for identified best practices to move from the literature to clinical practice, as well as rational for teaching skills, such as ethics, at the point of care, which ultimately leads to improvement in patient care.
Psychiatrists, Psychologists, Residents, Social Workers, Therapists, and other Allied Health Care Professionals
- Improve provider’s ability to recognize and conceptualize the biological, psychological, and social etiologies surrounding various psychiatric disorders
- Identify appropriate psychopharmacological, somatic, psychotherapeutic, or psychosocial interventions for various psychiatric disorders
