This weekly conference is designed to broaden the knowledge of physicians, residents and medical sutdents regarding new and innovative surgical techniques; research studies and outcome. Enhance pre-operative and post-operative patient care and the implementation of new guidelines as the climate of healthcare changes.
- Assess new surgical treatment for heart and lung disease.
- Basic science translational opportunities and surgical techniques are reviewed. The goal is to provide "state of the art patient care".
- Our "care maps" are reviewed and correlated with national practice guidelines and local quality measures. Participants should recognize care map deviations.
- Clinical judgement is improved when specific cases are reviewed and tested in multidisplinary fashion.
