Program Description: 

The series is intended to showcase various expertise of the MCW Emergency Medicine faculty and additionally includes regional and national EM expert presenters.  The faculty Grand Rounds speakers are asked to present topics that are cutting edge and  backed by research and scholarship in the field.  The attendees are able to gain knowledge that is applicable to their daily Emergency medicine practice and allow them to provide higher quality care for their patients.

Participants who engage in this educational intervention will be able to: 

  • Physicians who attend our didactic series will receive updates in emergency medicine core content and subspecialty areas backed by current evidence to maintain knowledge and promote high quality patient centered care
  • Assist physicians to better Identify social determinants of health to better recognize health disparities and care for vulnerable patient populations.
  • Incorporate a physician centered focus on the non-clinical areas of leadership, administration, educational skills, research, and wellness to develop well-rounded faculty.
