The Teach Me What to Say training curriculum is designed to help clinicians with these common problems when working with seriously ill and dying patients:

  • Conflict around end-of-life goal setting
  • Requests to “do everything”
  • Families in denial
  • Ethical and legal concerns about the best course of action
  • Managing cases of medical futility
  • DNR order conflicts
  • Responding to the questions, “Doctor, what would you do?” and “How long do I have?”
