Program Description: 

This continuing education program addresses gaps in medical knowledge and best practices with regards to the clinical practice of internal medicine and teaching learners the discipline of internal medicine.  These conferences update the audience with new findings and best practices to match current understanding in the field of internal medicine so that our faculty are knowledgeable, competent, and practice patient care of value to the patient.

  • Allied Health Professionals
Learning objectives: 

1. List clinical advances In primary care, hospital medicine and perioperative medicine over the last one year
2. Demonstrate familiarity with best practices in educating medical students and residents by participating in role play and delivering mini-lectures
3. List opportunities for community engagement for general internists
4. List pros and cons of research and quality improvement strategies applicable to general internists
