Program Description: 
This is a weekly multidisciplinary patient care conference where we review the imaging, pathology and clinical plans for new and follow-up solid tumor patients treated within our Solid Tumor Program or outside program requesting our review and opinion. The involved groups include: the Solid Tumor Team (attending physicians, trainees, APPs and nurse coordinators), pediatric surgeons, pediatric radiologists, pediatric pathologists, orthopedic surgeons and radiation oncologists. Every review is driven by evidence-based discussions to arrive at the best treatment plan for each individual patient.

Learning objectives: 

Participants who engage in this educational intervention will be able to:

  • Apply the current standards of oncology care to optimize the management of patients with solid tumors.
  • Review new, emerging, and novel therapeutic agents and treatment strategies and incorporate these into the management of patients with solid tumors.
  • Communicate the importance of a multidisciplinary approach and improve the collaborative performance of the interprofessional oncology care team in the management of patients with cancer.
