Program Description: 

This conference focuses on outcomes research in chronic kidney disease and end-stage kidney disease, delivery of care in dialysis units and chronic kidney disease clinics, emerging data on new treatments compared to current standard fo care, review of kidney pathology, and basic science research that may become future therapeutics.

Learning objectives: 

Participants who engage in this educational intervention will be able to:

  • Analyze the pathogenesis, diagnosis, and treatment of kidney diseases including but not limited to the following conditions; hypertension, chronic kidney disease, acute kidney injury, kidney transplant and immunosuppression, glomerulonephritis, nephrotic syndrome, and electrolyte disorders.
  • Evaluate advances in the field of Nephrology by reviewing results of clinical trials
  • Apply newly obtained clinical knowledge to enhance patient care in Nephrology.
