Program Description:
This lecture series is weekly one hour sessions designed to further the knowledge of the participants in new areas of pediatric clinical practice; expand the knowledge of pediatric practitioners in the areas of patient care and research, and keep faculty up to date on cutting edge changes developing in the clinical care of children in subspecialty areas.

Current practice includes lack of uniform awareness of current ideas regarding pathophysiology, diagnosis, and treatment of a broad range of illnesses and conditions encountered in the PICU.  There is also lack of awareness of and compliance with most current guidelines for a variety of clinical conditions and situations encountered in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU).
