Program Description:
Meeting clinical benchmarks and adhering to quality standards is becoming an ever more important aspect of clinical care, facility accreditation, and physician licensing. Our conference identifies issues from our existing data sources (NSQIP-P and SSPRC) and attempts to offer quality and process improvements to advance health care outcomes in children’s surgery by providing our physicians with strategies based on the best available evidence to do so.
The activity will address those patients served by the practicing pediatric surgeon – these include the fetus, infants, children, and teenagers up to 18 years of age, as well as those young adults with childhood-related congenital malformations that may be cared for by the practicing pediatric surgeon in addition to those patients with special needs that are often served by pediatric surgeons regardless of patient age.
