Dysautonomia International Conference & Lobby Day

Herndon, VA US
July 18, 2015 to July 19, 2015

This educational activity is designed to teach generalists the most recent science and evidence-based management guidelines in both structural and functional autonomic disorders.  The activity will highlight the most effective tips in diagnosis, treatment, and optimizing outcomes in clinical care of the patients with autonomic disorders.  The emphasis will be on patient-based teaching.

Over 70 million people worldwide live with various forms of dysautonomia. People of any age, gender or race can be impacted. Despite the high prevalence of dysautonomia, most patients take years to get diagnosed due to a lack of awareness amongst the public and within the medical profession.  Medical school and training programs do not address these disorders because their pathophysiologic basis remains unknown.

Change happens when we communicate; when we talk about our challenges; when we rally as a community; when we forge partnerships … when we work together.

Success is met with physician education, public awareness and patient empowerment programs.

This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education through the joint providership of the Medical College of Wisconsin and Dysautonomia International. The Medical College of Wisconsin is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

The Medical College of Wisconsin designates this live activity for a maximum of 11.75 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

The Medical College of Wisconsin designates this activity for up to 11.75 hours of participation for continuing education for allied health professionals.
