From Clinician to Clinician Leader Understanding Your Role
Program Overview When clinicians engage as strategic leadership partners, everybody wins. Clinical outcomes and quality are improved, patient satisfaction rises, and healthcare organizations experience greater success. Clinicians leading in partnership with other healthcare leaders ensures that key organizational decisions are informed by clinical expertise and a deep knowledge of patient concerns.

Leading effectively, however, requires a set of skills and abilities that differ from those essential to clinical excellence. In order to reap the benefits of clinician leadership, it’s important that clinicians develop and enhance their abilities in five core disciplines of leadership: Leading with Purpose, Leading Self, Leading with Strategy, Leading People, and Leading for Results.

Through this session, you will learn about the disciplines of successful leaders and skills and practices associated with each.
