Program Description: 

This weekly transplant service line lecture serves as an educational forum for team members, providing an opportunity to discuss a variety of clinical, surgical, and system-based topics relevant to transplant care. It promotes interdisciplinary learning, case-based discussions, and continuous improvement in patient management.

Learning objectives: 
Participants who engage in this educational intervention will be able to:
  • Apply evidence-based anesthetic strategies to optimize perioperative safety and reduce complications in living liver donors undergoing donor hepatectomy.
  • Evaluate the advantages and limitations of multimodal analgesia and regional anesthesia techniques to develop individualized postoperative pain management plans for living liver donors.
  • Implement hemodynamic monitoring, goal-directed coagulation management, and enhanced recovery strategies to optimize perioperative care for living donor liver transplant recipients.
