The clinical/research/teaching/administrative issue we will address is: To review cases, assess nuances of their anatomy and physiology, and compare cases like in kind, with the goal of determining outcomes and determine what the best approach is.  This is an issue, because often, there are multiple different approaches to the care and decision-making. By assembling this information, looking at it objectively and in an organized fashion, we can learn as we go forward.  Compiling all participants’ comments is what allows all of us to learn as we go forward and allows for the best care for patients.  Our discussion results in an array of opinions from many different providers, including cardiologists, cardiac surgeons, anesthesiologists, intensivists, neonatologists, etc.  This bi-weekly workshop allows all of us to learn as we go forward and allows the best care for patients.  We will know we were effective in producing change through feedback in evaluation forms submitted by participants, including answers to any noted changes in patient outcomes.
