Participants who engage in this educational intervention will be able to:
- Provide patient care that reflects evidence-based medicine as presented and reviewed in the series.
- Examine as part of the group whether changes need to be made to existing clinical practice guidelines to improve patient care when new information or healthcare innovations are presented.
- Select hospital resources that can assist in care-coordination and enhance the care of patients.
- Manage social, economic, and environmental issues that affect the health of patients cared for in the emergency department.
