Hervé Falet "Mean Platelet Volume"

The presentation covers techniques used to determine mean platelet volume (MPV) in humans and mice, and reviews exciting recent mRNA and protein profiling studies, clinical observations, and mouse models, where MPV variants contributed to the identification of novel genes regulating platelet production and function.

Marco Cattaneo "Platelet Secretion"

In this presentation Prof. Cattaneo will describe the most common laboratory techniques used to study platelet secretion. The use of these tests in the diagnosis of platelet function disorders will also be discussed.
