Diversity: Historically we have attracted a diverse applicant pool and matched residents who are diverse in their age, ability, gender, race, social background, lifestyle and spirituality.  There has been implicit attention but no overt explicit policy.  We are committed to creating a Diversity Task Force at the Program level to examine our current climate as well as perform a SWOT analysis to build an action plan for continuing to recruit a diverse resident pool of applicants and matched residents.  We will lean on local network resources to help provide training in diversity and inclusion and facilitate the conversations that arise from them.  We will compare our program results to system results and then national resources to see how likely we are to recruit and retain diverse physicians.
