The Human and Molecular Genetics Center at the Medical College of Wisconsin is dedicated to increasing genomic literacy.  In order to decrease health care costs and improve the quality of health care delivery, there is a growing need to become more proactive by practicing preventative medicine and wellness. The sequencing of the human genome has issued the first real promise of personalized preventative medicine for the near future.  For this to become a reality, physicians and allied health professionals will need to better educate themselves to the basic science of genetics as well as the current technologies and potential clinical applications of genomics and personalized medicine available today.  This series of CME courses are designed to be refresher modules and guidelines for how genetics, genomics, and personalized medicine can be effectively integrated into your practice.
