How to Help People That Use Opioids

This 2-hour course provides evidence-based treatment/management strategies for patients with certain types of pain and or substance abuse disorders. This course has been approved by the Wisconsin Medical Examining Board as meeting the requirements for a continuing education course on the responsible opioid prescribing guidelines per Med 13.03(3) of the Wisconsin Administrative Code.
Target Audience: Healthcare professionals who care for patients who use opioids and other controlled substances.

Winter Refresher Course

The 54th Annual Winter Refresher Course (WRC) for Family Medicine is sponsored by the Medical College of Wisconsin Department of Family and Community Medicine and the Wisconsin Academy of Family Physicians. The course provides an evidence-based review of the diagnosis and management of acute and chronic medical conditions frequently seen in primary care, and a chance to network with professional colleagues across the state.


This conference is for family physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and other primary care clinicians caring for patients of all ages and backgrounds.
