Forward2019 Crohn's and Colitis Conference
Target Audience
This is a program designed for physicians, nurses, pharmacists, nurse practitioners and physician assistants, allied health professionals, interns, residents, fellows and community partners specializing in Gastroenterology and Hepatology, Family Practice, Internal Medicine, Primary Care, General and Colorectal Surgery and Basic scientists.
Learning Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:
- Discuss new therapies in the “pipeline” for IBD patients.
- Identify what alternative therapies are effective and safe for IBD patients
- Integrate ways to deal with anxiety and depression in IBD patients
- Design plans for safety monitoring & looking for drug interactions with IBD medications
- Incorporate strategies to deliver patient-centered care in practice
- Describe enteral nutrition for Crohn's disease
- Summarize specific concerns to be aware of as getting older with IBD.

Attendees will have to enter by the Public Safety office located on the NE corner of the main building.
Travel
Visitors coming to campus from the east via Watertown Plank Road must turn left on 87th Street, drive past MCW and turn left at Connell Avenue to enter the parking lot from the south. Visitors needing to travel west on Watertown Plank Road from campus must exit the parking lots at the main exit on 87th Street or to the south on Connell Avenue.
