Learning objectives: 

The learning objectives in this educational intervention are below:

  • Identify patient characteristics and lab findings that may suggest treatments other than levethyroxine are needed in treatment of hypothyroidism

  • Identify data on the benefits of long term use of antithyroid drugs versus other treatments for hyyperthyroidism

  • Identify specific patient populations that benefit from or are harmed from treatment of subclinical thyroid disease
