Program Description: 

This is a series that includes both didactic lectures and case-based presentations geared towards the pediatric emergency medicine provider. Presentations are given by pediatric emergency medicine providers, subspecialty physicians, or experts from other disciplines and cover a wide range of topics that include an evidence-based medicine approach to pediatric resuscitation/trauma and other common acute pediatric illnesses, public health topics such as health disparities, community violence, and pediatric mental health, amongst others

Learning objectives: 

Participants who engage in this educational intervention will be able to:

  • Review the PERMAH model of well-being.
  • Discuss why joy is important and reflect on moments of joy and positive connection that we’ve shared with other members of our group.
  • Emphasize relationships with members of our section as a way to flourish in challenging circumstances.
