Recall the antimicrobial spectrum of activity of commonly used antibiotics
De-escalate an antibiotic regimen when given the results of a culture and susceptibility report
Given a medication list, identify clinically significant drug-drug interactions with antimicrobial therapy. Will review interactions between antimicrobials and other medications a patient may be taking.
Understand the mechanisms behind clinically significant drug interactions. Review the pharmacokinetic or pharmacodynamic mechanism that causes the medications to interact with each other in the provided examples
Identify management strategies for a patient with an antimicrobial drug-drug interaction. Will review if different interactions can be monitored safely or are a completely contraindicated combination.
