Define different types of grief and impact on the healing process for grievers.
Review different types of grief and how it may affect the healing process for an individual based on characteristics of the type of grief experienced.
Introduce risk factors for developing "complicated grief".
Counsel patients on adaptive grief coping strategies and identify risk factors for developing complicated grief.
Develop coping strategies with grief and ones to avoid that could lead to poor health outcomes or complicated grief.
Foster a safe space for grievers to share their experiences in a non-judgmental environment.
Offer practical advice for providers when seeing patients who are in grief and helpful reminders to avoid judgement or oversharing
Identify different responses children may have to grief
Identify different developmental understandings of grief
