Ophthalmology 2025 Fall Symposium
Co-hosted by the Milwaukee Ophthalmological Society, the 2025 Ophthalmology Fall Symposium, "Eye to the Future - Shaping the Landscape of Ophthalmic Care," will focus on the areas of refractive, ocular oncology and adult and pediatric comprehensive optometry. The goal was to increase the education and knowledge of all aspects of vision care and research with an emphasis in shaping the future landscape of ophthalmic care.
Target Audience
This educational activity is aimed at practicing ophthalmologists, subspecialty ophthalmologists, optometrists, fellows, residents, medical students, graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, vision scientists and retina photographers.
Learning Objectives
Participants who engage in this educational intervention will be able to:
- Identify the various presentations of ocular melanoma and the utility of ancillary tests
- Identify different options of refractive surgery and identify how advances in technology can benefit patients
- Recognize time-sensitive adult and pediatric ocular diagnoses which would most benefit from subspecialty care, versus those that need immediate action, versus those that can be managed locally
