Program Description: 

Attendees of Pediatric Grand Rounds will learn from leading experts state-of-the art clinical and basic science best available evidence in a wide variety of topics in pediatric medicine. Information presented will enable attendees to remain current on best practices that improve their ability to deliver excellent patient care and outcomes.

Learning objectives: 
Participants who engage in this educational intervention will be able to:
  • Evaluate the impact of genomic testing on the diagnosis and treatment of rare genetic disorders and pediatric cancers, citing specific examples; 
  • Describe key technological advancements driving genomic medicine and their applications in clinical practice; 
  • Analyze ethical issues in genomic medicine and compare alternatives to static consent models, such as dynamic consent.
