Participants who engage in this educational intervention will be able to:
- Comprehend base of familial hypercholesterolemia (FH), including its basic pathophysiology, genetic basis, and natural history, explain why FH is the primary indication for statin treatment in children.
- Provide comprehensive patient and family counseling based on the evidence on the effectiveness of statin therapy initiated in childhood for familial hypercholesterolemia (FH)
- Incorporate information of statin therapy's safety profile when prescribing statin therapy for the pediatric patient.
