List the major immunosuppressants and the complications associated with each - review each pharmacologic category of immunosuppressants in hopes that listeners will be able to identify these in a patient's medication list and evaluate toxicities if present.
Discuss differences between induction, maintenance, and rejection immunosuppression - these three phases of immunosuppression are important to decipher and will be discussed in detail along with timelines for each.
Evaluate a transplant recipients medication list for appropriate indications - this will include infection prophylaxis, supportive therapies, OTC medications as well as vaccines.
