
Obesity Management Symposium: Calories, Exercise & Beyond
This program is open all health care providers and learners to develop a working knowledge and understanding of the current status of treatment and prevention strategies for obesity, where the gaps lie, and engage in a productive dialogue to benefit patients in future.

Learning Objectives
Participants who engage in this educational intervention will be able to:
- Identify and explain common pathophysiological processes underlying obesity and metabolic diseases, applying this knowledge to clinical case scenarios
- Describe key components of the patient perspective in obesity management, including patient experiences, preferences, and barriers to care
- Identify and differentiate among medical and surgical treatment options for obesity and metabolic diseases, including indications, mechanisms of action, benefits, and potential risks.
- Describe key prevention strategies and policy initiatives aimed at addressing obesity and metabolic diseases, including community-based interventions and healthcare policy changes.
