Program Description: 

Thoracic Tumor board is a multidisciplinary weekly meeting where challenging Thoracic and Esophageal patient cases are reviewed. The goal of this meeting is to review imaging, discuss biopsy options, evaluate therapy options, and develop a consensus opinion regarding management, within the context of a patient case scenario. Hence the educational benefit would be to improve understanding in the management of Thoracic malignancies.

Learning objectives: 

Participants who engage in this educational intervention will be able to:

  • Identify staging of thoracic malignancies and evaluate potential treatment options 
  • Review diagnostic options for patient cases and articulate and apply multidisciplinary management.
  • Incorporate patient comorbidities, functional status, and patient preferences to individualize treatment planning for patients with thoracic malignancies in multidisciplinary care settings.
