Program Description: 
A sense of connectedness to one’s school and a feeling of belonging in whatever environment a child is in, have strong implications for emotional wellbeing and resilience.  We will discuss ways in which to enhance these powerful protective assets in the school setting.

Participants who engage in this educational intervention will be able to:
  • Discuss the empirical findings on connectedness and belongingness in schools.
  • Prepare recommendations for building capacity in these two phenomena among school staff.
  • Propose assessment strategies for effectiveness of these interventions.
