Program Description: 

SPUC weekly webinar series provides timely evidence-based education to physicians and advance practice providers who care for children in acute care settings. The Society for Pediatric Urgent Care will provide this webinar to its members in both a real time and an archived format. SPUC weekly webinar series will feature speakers and learners interested in improving the quality of urgent care from across the nation.

Learning objectives: 

Participants who engage in this educational intervention will be able to:

  • Recognize and list possible etiologies for MIRM (Mycoplasma-Induced Rash and Mucositis). 
  • Explain the difference between Stevens-Johnson Syndrome and Toxic Epidermal Necrolysis Syndrome
  • List the clinical features and possible causes of Erythema Multiforme
  • Identify pediatric atopic dermatitis and initiate appropriate treatment in an urgent care setting 
  • Identify the presence of secondary infections in the setting of atopic dermatitis
