Program Description: 

This is a weekly conference dedicated to the presentation and discussion of the American Board of Pediatrics Board Content within Pediatric Critical Care Medicine. Attending this lecture series will expand one's medical knowledge of the core principles of pediatric critical care medicine, including pathophysiology, diagnostic evaluation, and management for patients in the pediatric ICU.

Learning objectives: 

Participants who engage in this educational intervention will be able to:

  • AKF
  • Common Etiologies and work-up (FeNA, imaging, urinanalysis, biopsy etc)
  • Life threatening complications
  • Fluid management in ARF, especially in a shock state
  • When to move towards CRRT?  Contraindications?
  • ATN - pathophysiology, timing, management, resolution
  • CKD
  • Definition
  • Common pediatric causes
  • Acute on Chronic exacerbations
  • Determination of Transplant Candidacy
