Program Description: 

This is a weekly conference dedicated to the presentation and discussion of the American Board of Pediatrics Board Content within Pediatric Critical Care Medicine. Attending this lecture series will expand one's medical knowledge of the core principles of pediatric critical care medicine, including pathophysiology, diagnostic evaluation, and management for patients in the pediatric ICU.

Learning objectives: 

Participants who engage in this educational intervention will be able to:

  • Review epidemiolocal cases nationally and locally
  • Discuss common risk factors for children to experience maltreatment
  • Assess common presentations
  • Understand the timing to contact Advocacy Team and required work-up and indications for them
  • Gain insights into dynamics/collaborations with law enforcement
