Program Description: 

Attendees of Pediatric Grand Rounds will learn from leading experts state-of-the art clinical and basic science best available evidence in a wide variety of topics in pediatric medicine. Information presented will enable attendees to remain current on best practices that improve their ability to deliver excellent patient care and outcomes.

Learning objectives: 
Participants who engage in this educational intervention will be able to:
    • Understand epidemiology and diagnosis of pediatric spinal cord injury and disorders
    • Understand the spinal cord injury classification system
    • Identify life-threatening diagnoses related to spinal cord injury and their associated treatments
    • Identify importance of bowel, bladder, spasticity, and wound management in spinal cord injury management
    • Identify common complications for traumatic spinal cord injury/disorders
    • Identify common treatments for traumatic spinal cord injury/disorders
    • Understand psychological and sexual health implications for pediatric spinal cord injury
