Program Description: 

NICU Provider skills day is a competency-based training designed to support neonatal providers, fellows and nurse practitioners in maintaining proficiency, enhancing clinical performance and promoting patient safety in the NICU.

Learning objectives: 
Participants who engage in this educational intervention will be able to:
  • Demonstrate proficiency in essential neonatal procedures and technical skills. 
  • Perform thorough and accurate neonatal assessments. 
  • Interpret common diagnostic and monitoring data to guide clinical decisions. 
  • Follow medication safety protocols and high-alert medication safe guards.
  • Apply current resuscitation principles and stabilization techniques.
