Specialists throughout the DOP help lead these sessions. The goal is to refresh key concepts that will be applicable to initial or recertification boards for Pediatric Hospital Medicine.

- Differentiate the fundamental clinical features that support recognition and classification of seizure types in pediatric and adult patients.
- Implement evidence-based first-line and second-line therapies for status epilepticus, including appropriate dosing, timing, and escalation of care.
- Optimize non-emergent seizure management by selecting appropriate evaluation strategies for suspected epilepsy and by developing and updating individualized seizure action/sick plans, including care for children with febrile seizures.
