- Apply knowledge of normal eye development to recognize deviations that may indicate congenital or acquired pathology in pediatric patients.
- Diagnose and manage congenital eye abnormalities (including corneal opacifications, leukocoria, congenital glaucoma, and congenital cataracts) using evidence‑based approaches.
- Diagnose and manage non‑ROP acquired eye abnormalities (including congenital infections and eye trauma associated with neonatal abstinence syndrome) in clinical practice.
- Apply current evidence on retinopathy of prematurity, including pathophysiology, classification, and treatment, to clinical decision‑making for at‑risk infants.
