ForwardScholarship in Progress is a virtual seminar series that provides opportunity for those engaged in child health in the areas of research, education and quality improvement to share their scholarly activity and promote interaction and opportunities among researchers and providers. Participants are exposed to ongoing activities in basic, translational and clinical research, educational development and quality improvements being performed by researchers and providers within pediatrics and child health.

Participants who engage in this educational intervention will be able to:
- Describe the mechanisms underlying immune responses to platelet-specific gene therapy.
- Identify potential immune-related risks and complications associated with platelet-targeted gene therapy approaches.
- Discuss current strategies to mitigate immune consequences and improve the safety and efficacy of platelet-specific gene therapy.
- Recognize bronchopulmonary dysplasia as a common indication for tracheostomy placement in pediatric patients.
- Describe current advances in respiratory microbiome analysis and their clinical relevance.
- Explain the principles and applications of longitudinal analysis in evaluating respiratory outcomes.
