Given a patient with chronic pain, explain how you would approach the patient differently using biobehavioral vs biopharmacologic model, as explained by the 4PCP modules.
For patients with chronic pain, the practitioner will monitor their own Prescription Drug Monitoring Program (PDMP) until they see a satisfactory decrement in opioid prescribing.
For a patient with chronic pain, the physician will be able to identify, explore, and recount the patients status in the following domains as explained by the 4PCP Modules:
- Pain beliefs
- Validation
- Catastrophization
- Fear-Avoidance
- Self-efficacy
