This session will describe the various types of AI machine learning in healthcare, ways AI can transform healthcare, and discuss challenges AI presents.

Learning objectives: 

Participants who engage in this educational intervention will be able to:

  • Participants will gain an understanding of what AI is and explore the various types of AI technologies used in healthcare, such as machine learning, natural language processing, and robotics
  • Participants will be able to examine the ways AI is transforming clinical practices, including streamlining patient encounters, automating chronic disease management, reducing medical errors, and enhancing diagnostics
  • Discuss the ethical implications, data privacy and security concerns, and legal challenges associated with the use of AI in healthcare, along with ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.
