Program Description:
  • Research shows that people and organizations in which they work can become vicariously traumatized when working with children and families who have experienced trauma.  Vicarious trauma and staff burnout can lead to lower quality care, increased errors, turnover and unintentional re-traumatizing of children and families.
  • Having knowledge about trauma and Trauma Informed Care can help us be at our best everyday.  It will help us continue to build a strong, values based culture where we can be at our best for each other and for those we serve.
  • This training provides the tools and resources needed to understand how chronic stress and trauma impact us as individuals and as a health system.
