Learning Objectives:
  • Review the pharmacologic therapies used in the management of Diabetes Mellitus, including mechanisms of action, indications, adverse effects, and monitoring considerations for insulin and non-insulin agents.
  • Apply evidence-based clinical decision-making to optimize individualized medication management for patients with Type 1 Diabetes and Type 2 Diabetes through appropriate therapy selection, glycemic monitoring, and risk reduction strategies.
