This session is led by Advanced Practice Providers. It will provide education on pathophysiology, diagnosis and management of congenital malformations of the brain.

Learning objectives: 
Participants who engage in this educational intervention will be able to:
  • Evaluate patient-specific clinical data to determine whether a procedure is indicated, weighing benefits against risks, contraindications, and alternative approaches.
  • Analyze potential complications in the context of individual patient comorbidities and develop a risk mitigation plan prior to procedure initiation.
  • Justify the decision to perform or defer a procedure using current evidence-based guidelines and patient-centered reasoning.
  • Integrate standards of practice, clinical guidelines, and evidence-based techniques to execute procedures safely and effectively in the simulation environment.
  • Adapt procedural technique in response to real-time findings, anatomic variation, or unexpected complications encountered during simulation.
