  • Describe the role of the Registered Dietitian over the continuum of care, and decide when to consult a dietitian
  • Evaluate risk of malnutrition (protein-energy undernutrition)
  • Identify individuals with increased risk of refeeding syndrome and plan for monitoring
  • Facilitate care of patients requiring nutrition support (oral nutrition supplements, enteral nutrition, and parenteral nutrition)
