Participants who engage in this educational intervention will be able to:
- Analyze the influence of social determinants of health on recovery trajectories among firearm injury survivors, identifying at least three determinants that contribute to disparities in long-term outcomes.
- Evaluate evidence demonstrating the need for multidisciplinary, trauma-specific follow-up care—linking chronic pain, psychological distress, and physical disability outcomes to gaps in post-discharge care.
- Apply trauma-informed care principles in the design or assessment of multidisciplinary firearm injury programs to promote improved quality of life and equitable recovery among trauma survivors.
