Program Description: 

The purpose of APP Grand Rounds is to enhance the ability of PAs and APNs to recognize, diagnose and manage common medical conditions across the continuum of presentation in the office/outpatient setting to exacerbation of these conditions requiring management in an acute care setting.

This program has been reviewed and is approved for a maximum of 1.00 hours of AAPA Category 1 CME credit by the Physician Assistant Review Panel. Physician assistants should claim only those hours actually spent participating in the CME activity.   • Tricia Marriott graduated from the Yale School of Medicine PA Program in 1986.
  • In 1998 she was named Chief PA of The Department of Orthopaedics at a community hospital in CT where she remained until 2007, when she transitioned to private practice.
  • Marriott has lectured extensively and has led multiple workshops and webinars on APP billing, reimbursement, hospital practice, utilization, and productivity to a variety of audiences, including: PAs, NPs, physicians, practice managers, billers and coders, quality and risk managers, and underwriters.
  • Marriott was the Senior Director for Advocacy at the American Academy of PAs (AAPA) for eight years. She recently accepted a leadership position at a hospital in Connecticut, but remains a senior consultant for the AAPA Center for Healthcare Leadership and Management (CHLM).
  •  Marriott completed a Master’s of Jurisprudence in Health Law at the Loyola University Chicago School of Law and completed Certification in Healthcare Compliance-CHC®.
