Program Description: 

The purpose of APP Lunch and Learn is to enhance the ability of PAs and APNs to recognize, diagnose and manage common medical conditions across the continuum of presentation in the office/outpatient setting to exacerbation of these conditions requiring management in an acute care setting.

Learning objectives: 
  • Review evolution of ACTs within the inpatient setting and discuss next steps of integration with ambulatory and operating room (OR) ACTs
  • Review execution and alignment of ACT quality and strategic goals with organizational standards
  • Discuss how communication can be enhanced through ongoing improvements to the ACT structure and function
  • Build synergy and best practices for communication between patient care teams
  • Showcase active projects (engagement/utilization) of Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) as ACT project leaders
