Program Description: 

The Medical College of Wisconsin CVICU Interdisciplinary Case Review Series is a monthly continuing medical education program designed for physicians, nurses, and advanced practice providers involved in cardiovascular intensive care. Held on the fourth Tuesday of each month via Zoom, this collaborative educational forum brings together multidisciplinary healthcare professionals to examine complex cardiovascular cases through comprehensive case-based learning. Each session focuses on critical analysis of patient presentations with emphasis on quality improvement initiatives, morbidity and mortality review, and clinical decision-making processes. The series promotes interdisciplinary communication, evidence-based practice, and continuous professional development while addressing current challenges and best practices in cardiovascular critical care. Participants will gain valuable insights into multidisciplinary care coordination, risk stratification, and quality metrics that directly impact patient outcomes in the cardiovascular intensive care setting.

  • Through interdisciplinary collaboration, develop comprehensive care plans that address the multifaceted needs of critically ill cardiovascular patients
  • Assess systems-based factors that influence patient outcomes and propose actionable improvements to care delivery processes
