Program Description: 

This CE activity will allow providers caring for the BMT patient population more opportunity for transplant specific education which will in turn help those providers meet the 10 education hours as defined by FACT Standard B3.5.3. This free, on campus lecture series makes regular attendance more obtainable and affordable for participants while providing transplant specific education that promotes quality patient centered care.

For Physician Assistants:

This program has been reviewed and is approved for a maximum of 1.00 hour of AAPA Category 1 CME credit by the Physician Assistant Review Panel. Physician assistants should claim only those hours actually spent participating in the CME activity. This program was planned in accordance with AAPA's CME Standards for Live Programs and for Commercial Support of Live Programs.

Participants who engage in this educational intervention will be able to:

  • Recognize the cutaneous features of GVHD in a variety of skin types and presentations
  • Identify the differential diagnosis for GVHD and distinguishing features
  • Identify diagnostic tools and when to treat or refer patients with GVHD to dermatology
