Cardiovascular Grand Rounds is the primary teaching conference for the Division of Cardiology where both cardiovascular disease syndromes and current research in cardiovascular disease is presented. Cardiovascular Grand Rounds meets a specific need both in the community and at the Medical College for further education in cardiovascular disease states. Cardiovascular Grand Rounds as a recurring activity is continually reviewed by the cardiology faculty.

Participants who engage in this educational intervention will be able to:
- Analyze the magnitude of age-related changes in aerobic and muscular power that occur with advanced ageing.
- Identify age-related changes in the body that can contribute to decrease in aerobic power and muscle strength, and the increased fatigability of limb muscles in older adults.
- Evaluate the benefits of resistance strength training in older adults including potential increases in strength, muscle mass and physical function.
